Dr. Seth Rosenzweig

Dr. Seth Rosenzweig, an Orthopaedic Surgeon, is the latest to join the Dauterive Hospital family of physicians serving the Teche Area community. Dr. Rosenzweig identifies with patients on a personal level. He understands the frustration of going through a typical work day with a chronic physical ailment.

“I had a bone cyst in my thoracic spine that took three years to diagnose,” he said. “The emotional and psychological strain became as frustrating as the physical pain itself.I see my patients for more than just a ‘knee strain’ or torn rotator cuff; I hope they leave my office knowing I addressed their concerns.”

After earning a medical doctorate from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans in May of 2002, Dr. Rosenzweig completed his core orthopaedic training at Tulane University and Charity Hospital in New Orleans and University of Alabama at Birmingham. He also completed subspecialized training in pediatric orthopaedics at Scottish Rite Hospital in Atlanta and sports medicine at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham, Ala. In addition to his core training, he has completed a year-long research fellowship in knee and hip replacement at Tulane as well as a year-long Sports Medicine fellowship at the prestigious Campbell Clinic in Memphis, TN.

He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons,American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine, and the Arthroscopy Association of North America.
